Clinicians invited to participate in the CHAT Collaborative have extensive training in specifically identified trauma-focused therapy modalities including:
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
- Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
- Alternatives for Families: A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT)
- Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI)
- Problematic Sexual Behavior- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT)
These professionals work with both the identified child client and their caregivers to promote healing and support the family after a traumatic experience. The providers are screened and monitored by the CAC of Charlotte CHAT Collaborative Coordinator and form a group of mental health professionals that can be utilized by the CAC of Charlotte Family Advocates, making ‘good-fit’ referrals for all children seen for forensic services at the Child Advocacy Center.
